Tell us about the job
Rooms or the outside, rough size, the condition of the surfaces, your timing and your postal code. Add photos or your Paint your home colours if you have them.
We introduce vetted painters
Usually within one business day, we connect you with up to three insured painters who serve your area and have time in your window.
Compare written quotes
Each painter visits or reviews photos and sends an itemized, written quote. Compare the prep, products, coats and schedule, then hire the one you trust.
What we check
Before any introduction.
- Commercial liability insurance, with proof.
- Workers' compensation where the province requires it: WSIB, WorkSafeBC, CNESST or the local WCB.
- An RBQ licence for painting contractors in Quebec.
- Business details and the area they really serve.
- References and recent work.
- Written, itemized quotes as standard.
- Your feedback. We stop introducing painters who don't meet the standard.
What we don't do
Straight talk.
Painting Local doesn't do the painting and doesn't provide a guarantee or warranty. Your contract is with the painter you choose, who provides any workmanship warranty, and paint warranties come from the manufacturer.
We'll never ask you for payment, never sell your information, and never pressure you to hire anyone. If you don't like the quotes, you don't hire anyone. It's that simple.

Is Painting Local free?
Yes, for homeowners. There's no cost to request quotes and no obligation to hire anyone.
How many quotes will I get?
We aim to introduce you to up to three vetted painters who serve your area and are available in your timeframe. In smaller communities there may be fewer.
Who do I pay?
You pay the painter you hire, directly, according to the written quote you accept. Painting Local never asks you for payment.
What if something goes wrong with the job?
Your contract and warranty are with the painter you hire, so read the quote carefully and keep it in writing. Tell us about any problems: we take feedback seriously and stop introducing painters who don't meet our standards. Painting Local doesn't provide a guarantee or warranty itself.
Will my information be shared?
Only with the painters we introduce for your project, so they can contact you about it. We never sell your information.
