Why we started.

Hiring a painter in Canada usually means calling around, waiting for callbacks, and comparing three quotes that describe three different jobs. Choosing a colour means taping chips to the wall and hoping. We thought both could be better.

So we built two things. A network of vetted, insured local painters who quote in writing, and Paint your home, a free tool that repaints the walls in a photo of your own room or house, so you can see a colour before you commit to it.

What we believe

• Prep is the job. We favour painters who protect, patch, sand, caulk and prime, and say so in writing.
• Transparency over hype. We publish real Canadian prices in our cost guide so you know a fair quote.
• Your data is yours. Photos are private and deleted after 90 days. We never sell personal information.
• Honesty about our role. We make introductions; we don't do the painting or provide a guarantee or warranty. Your contract and any warranty are with the painter you hire.

Our palette

Our 36 colours are named for places across Canada, from Fundy Fog to Okanagan Olive, and chosen to look good in our light: long winters, low northern sun and bright prairie summers.
